    In these Inflationary Times. HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO DO IT MY FRIENDs Use any hard Bar Soap, Tallow or Glycerin based Soaps out there? To fit in any Mugs or Cups? Like" (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them?) You can mix and match your old Soaps? Cut up the soap on a paper plate, pour your soap chunks with the shavings from the Paper Plate into a Mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, and microwave your soap. For about a minute or so? Place a paper plate under your mug in case it bubbles out of your cup? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. Save your Money, spend it on your wife, don't listen to the shave Mafia. It saves me time and Money. Wheelchair Larry Happy New Year. Your Mileage may vary?

    It is always good to toss in a straight shave every now and then. SV does make a great soap and I do have an affinity for triple milled soap although I don’t use them as often as I should. Stay safe.

    • @mmobley011889
      @mmobley011889 10 месяцев назад

      It was definitely different, I really enjoyed myself though. It is a different skill. Hopefully my razors are not so out of geometry that Marion is unable to sort them out. Thank you very much for the video! Which do you think would be a better for my first safety razor, the King C Gillette or the Rockwell 6C? Some people have said the Rockwell 6C is a good first safety razor because it’s adjustable. I appreciate any advice anyone can give to me. Thank you.

    • @mmobley011889
      @mmobley011889 10 месяцев назад

      They would both be a great choice, but I would go with the king c Gillette, or the Edwin jagger de 89. They have the same head geometry. The Gillette has a longer handle and can be picked up at Walgreens. Every other razor is compared to the Edwin jagger because it is at the right spot between smooth and efficient. The reason that I chose the king c Gillette as the gateway drug is because it’s relatively cheap, and easily accessible. Im sure that the 6c is an amazing razor, but the problem that I have with adjustable razors is that I use them find my favorite setting and that’s where it stays for ever essentially. Getting a quality razor and spending time working on technique is definitely the way to go. Thank you for your question. I hope to talk to you soon.

      Yes absolutely, any razor would clog with 2 weeks or so of growth. The smoothness and low effort shave that that razor provides is incredible. Thank you for lending it to me, I’m going to give it another spin before making any definite statements about it but the first impression of it is fantastic!

    That whas a nice shave...Did you lather up with cold water ?? I recently started with safety razors, but had to take a pause from it because of razor burn despite using pre-shave and good shaving cream.... Many people say that it helps men with super sensitive skin to use cold water shave instead of warm water shave...

    • @mmobley011889
      @mmobley011889 11 месяцев назад

      Yes, I did use cold water to lather up with. It has been really nice the few times that I have done it. I will probably just be doing it in all of my shaves as a long term review. I lathered with cold water, held a cold wet rag on my face before hand and rinsed off between passes. I used to have a hard time with skin irritation and still do in one spot on my neck. I’m sure you have tried everything, but what really helped me with my skin was following the growth of my beard, and getting the pressure and angle right on my razor. If you give it a go let me know how it goes for you! I hope to talk to you soon. Matt

    The fact King Gillette literally invented the DE safety razor as we know it, and that it has never truly gone out of date makes it an absolute travesty that the company abandoned that market for several decades. They should have always had at least one available for the sake of posterity and pride. Glad that they are back in it though, hope that they eventually come out with a higher end, perhaps adjustable one. I'll admit I'm a sucker for chrome lol. The blades are good too, better than the platinum blues.

      I whole heartedly agree! It’s sad what happens due to corporate greed and abandoning their heritage for the sake of profit.
